NanoMag magnetic foil is a composite of rare earth magnet powder and a flexible polymer bond. Most often it is rubber.
The main difference between it and ferrite foil is in the magnetic characteristics. Those of NanoMag foil are significantly higher (up to several times) and approach the characteristics of neodymium magnets. That is why in many applications related to fastening, this foil successfully replaces neodymium magnets.
NanoMag foil has one main advantage over thin neodymium magnets: With the same dimensions, this foil has the same adhesion strength to an iron surface, but its price is significantly lower (in most cases more than twice).
The main application of magnetic foil is as a base for fastening to iron surfaces (most often refrigerators and magnetic boards) of various signs, numbers, letters, advertisements, emblems, business cards, souvenirs, etc.

The photo demonstrates the difference in adhesion strength to an iron surface between the ferrite foil (10x10xH0.5mm), (10x10xH1mm), neodymium magnet Ф8xН1 and NanoMag (10x10xH1mm).
The NanoMag foil is multipolar magnetized on one side (this is the working surface), while the other side can be used to stick the object we want to attach to the iron surface. This method of magnetization allows for more efficient use of the foil surface and increases the adhesion strength.

The table below shows comparative data on the magnetic characteristics and adhesion strength to an iron surface for 1 cm2 of ferrite, NanoMag foil and neodymium magnet.
