Magnetic foil is a composite of magnetic ferrite powder (barium ferrite) and a flexible polymer bond. Most often, this is rubber, which is why this material is known as “rubber” or “soft” magnets.

The main application of magnetic foil is as a base for attaching to iron surfaces (most often refrigerators and magnetic boards) various signs, numbers, letters, advertisements, emblems, business cards, souvenirs, etc.

The foil is available insheets and rolls.

The magnetic foil is multipolar magnetized on one side (this is the working surface), while the object we want to attach to the iron surface can be glued to the other side.

span style=”font-size: 12px;”>A sheet of paper with iron powder is placed on top of the magnetic foil. The particles concentrate between the poles.

The table shows the values of the peel strength Fs and the slip strength Ff (in grams) for 1 cm2 of foil, at different thicknesses h. The data are approximate and refer to attachment to iron sheet painted with enamel paint (the most common case).
