Description

The P80 fastening element is a system of a magnet placed in a closing magnetic circuit, a cup type.
This element is also known as Magnetic Pot.
When the magnetic pot is placed on an iron surface, a closed magnetic system is obtained and the entire magnetic flux of the magnet is closed through the iron surface and the magnetic circuit. In this way, the adhesion force can many times exceed that of a free magnet.
Due to the absence of a strong stray field, the magnetic pot also has a very useful application:
When an iron object that has fallen into a narrow gap with iron walls needs to be removed, it is usually tried with a magnet hung on a long axis (rod). However, this turns out to be very difficult or impossible, because the magnet sticks to the walls and cannot be extended to the fallen object. This problem does not exist with the magnetic pot. Since there is no strong scattered field, there is no attraction to iron walls, and the fallen object can be reached easily and accurately.
